A business visionary is an individual who can take a gander at the earth, recognize chances to improve the ecological assets and execute activity to boost those chances (Robert E. Nelson) it is essential to hold up under at the top of the priority list the innovative abilities that will be expected to improve the personal satisfaction for people, families and networks and to continue a sound economy and condition. We will compose a custom article test on Ladies Entrepreneurship-Challenges Opportunities or on the other hand any comparable point explicitly for you Don't WasteYour Time Recruit WRITER Just 13.90/page Mulling over this, we will locate that every one of the conventional definitions has its own shortcoming (Tyson, Petrin, Rogers, 1994, p. 4). The principal definition generally rules out advancements that are not on the mechanical or authoritative front line, for example, adjustment of more established innovations to a creating nation setting, or going into send out business sectors previously tapped by different firms. Characterizing business as hazard taking ignores other significant components of what we for the most part consider as enterprise, for example, a very much created capacity to perceive unexploited market openings. Enterprise as a balancing out power limits business to perusing markets disequilibria, while business characterized as claiming and working a business, prevents the chance from securing pioneering conduct by non-proprietors, representatives and supervisors who have no value stake in the business. In this way, the most fitting meaning of business enterprise that would fit into the provincial advancement setting, contended here, is the more extensive one, the one which characterizes business enterprise as: a power that assembles different assets to fulfill neglected market need, the capacity to make and fabricate something from hardly anything, the way toward making an incentive by arranging a one of a kind bundle of assets to abuse a chance. It consolidates meanings of business by Jones and Sakong, 1980; Timmons, 1989; Stevenson, et al. 1985. Business enterprise so characterized, relates to any new association of beneficial variables and not solely to advancements that are on the innovative or authoritative front line, it relates to pioneering exercises both inside and outside the association. Enterprise need not include anything new from a worldwide or even national point of view, yet rather the selection of new types of business associations, new advancements and new underta kings delivering products not beforehand accessible at an area (Petrin, 1991). This is the reason business is viewed as a central player being developed and why countries, areas and networks that effectively advance enterprise improvement, show a lot higher development rates and thus more significant levels of improvement than countries, districts and networks whose foundations, legislative issues and culture prevent business. An innovative economy, regardless of whether on the national, provincial or network level, contrasts essentially from a non-enterprising economy in numerous regards, not just by its financial structure and its monetary energy, yet in addition by the social imperativeness and personal satisfaction which it offers with a resulting allure to individuals. Financial structure is exceptionally powerful and incredibly serious because of the fast formation of new firms and the exit of old stale and declining firms Redefining business enterprise and development Succeeding as a business visionary and a trailblazer in todayââ¬â¢s world is tremendously not quite the same as what it was before. Associations will confront seven patterns in the following decade as they trip to endure, become and stay serious. Speed and vulnerability will win. Innovation will proceed to upset and empower. Socioeconomics will direct quite a bit of what occurs in business. Steadfastness will dissolve. Work will be done anyplace, whenever. Work as we probably am aware it will vanish. Latin America, Native America and Magical Realism - Literature Essay Samples
Magical realism is the art of infusing the supernatural in the mundane. Many Latin American authors exploit the power of magical realism in their novels, in which characters have regular encounters with the spiritual world. This capacity equips them with a sixth sense so that they have superhuman insight, discern apparitions unseen to natural eyes or communicate with spirits or spirits of the departed. Laura Esquivel are Latin American authors who employed ââ¬Å"lo real maravillosoâ⬠or magical realism into literature, pervasive in her best-seller Como Agua Para Chocolate. This method serves to weave in legend, religion and spiritism into reality (Jameson 1986). The reader realizes that magical realism is not simply magic, but it forms an inextricable part of life and human experience. Also in the Native American tradition, as seen in Monkey Beach authors depict their deep religious heritage in literature, inserting religious beliefs, rites and supernatural occurrences. The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende is a text peopled by characters with magical capabilities. Characters, such as Clara, are endowed with uncanny, spiritual ability such as clairvoyance, interpretation of dreams, and telekinesis (moving objects with the mind). In the novel, writing is not a mere activity. It becomes a spiritual affair in which the writer undergoes a catharsis or inner purging, wielding the power of the pen. Clara records her dreams and spiritual encounters to be passed down to future generations. In this world, ââ¬Å"conventional resources were not everythingâ⬠(Conniff 1990). Spirits aid man in a mutually beneficial relationship. She relates well with the good spirits and they abide in her home, giving her a contentment that nothing material could bring. Characters can see the apparition of ghosts and experience comforting spirits participating in daily life so much so that the residents of the home accept them as normal. The paranormal constantly take s place in the novel. For example, Clara miraculously finds the lost head of her mother who accidentally gets decapitated. The spirits reveal to her the heads exact location when no one could retrieve it. The punctuation of the novel with magic and surreal occurrences impresses on the mind the intersection of the spiritual world (embodied as Clara) and the material (embodied as Esteban). In Monkey Beach, Lisa, the protagonist equally has phenomenal spiritual ability to foresee events through dreams before they come to pass. In the Haisla culture in Canada, the Native Indians cherish the culture of supernatural consciousness and communication with dead ancestors. Ma-Ma-Oo, Lisaââ¬â¢s grandmother, appreciates Lisaââ¬â¢s unusual gift and teaches her how to sharpen and control it. In magical realism novels, the presence of older generations is indispensable because the work ââ¬Å"is the simultaneous impetus of atavism and modernismâ⬠(Gish 1990). Lisa learns about her sixth sense and later ââ¬Ëseesââ¬â¢ a vision of her dead brother relaying an urgent message to her. Lisa also receives a vision that her best friend has died. Magical realism is woven into Monkey Beach not only through Lisa, but also through the old witch, Screwy Ruby, Sasquatch (an fabled animal from another world) and a strange little man who appears to Lisa whenever something imminent i s about to take place. These personas are gifted with premonitions and foretelling. Some of Lisaââ¬â¢s family members also have strains of her spiritual gift but choose to deny it. Setting is key in structuring a text with magical realism. In One Hundred Years of Solitude, the setting is a fantastic, timeless village called Macondo, whose inhabitants are immortal. Setting not only signifies space, but also time. Time laws in magical realism works operate outside of the normal sphere. ââ¬Å"Time is curved and coincidental in a whole moment that is outside of clock timeâ⬠(Rabassa 1973). Marquezââ¬â¢ title emphasizes a timelessness which also points to an otherworldliness. Gabriel Garcia Marquez describes the Macondo village as a place untainted and uncorrupted by modern civilization and technology. Comparable to the Eden paradise of Genesis, the town never saw disease. Although not a pristine picture of perfection, the interaction of gypsies gives the storyline a surreal appearance. Science and invention are unknown in this idyllic world and the magic of pastoral life seeps into the story. The novel, House of the Spirits, is set in a nameless country. I n literature, anonymity lends the idea of mystery and otherworldliness. Due to the title, one knows that the major scenes take place within the confines of a haunted house whose dwellers have regular communication with spirits or ghosts. Within the house, eerie events unfold as the mistress of the home, Clara, takes pleasure in spirit worship. In Monkey Beach, Monkey Beach assumes a new meaning as it becomes the setting/site of her brotherââ¬â¢s death. Monkey Beach is a gloomy environment where crows and hawks haunt and where drownings occur. At Monkey Beach, Lisa observes a Sasquatch (Bââ¬â¢gwus) when others cannot see it and hears voices that others cannot hear. These spirit beings offer help to Lisa if she performs a ceremony and gives them an offering. Because of these supernatural events, Monkey Beach evolves into another world full of supernatural power. Religion lies at the core of magical realism in literature. Religion promotes belief in otherworldliness and the reality of a spiritual world. In Latin America where over 90% of the population profess Catholicism, the novels House of the Spirits and One Hundred Years of Solitude are pervaded with religious references, persons or myth. In House of the Spirits, Clara is denounced as demon-possessed by the village priest. After their deaths, Clara and Ferula becom e ghosts that haunt the big house on the corner, thereby making the house, The House of the Spirits, thus forwarding the popular spiritual concept of life after death and spiritism (the belief in spirits and communication with the spirits of the dead through mediums). References to priests, nuns, churches, convents and mass reinforce the overarching presence of religion and its role in inculcating the masses with spiritual teachings. Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel pervades with magical realism in the home setting. Titaââ¬â¢s visions of her dead mother, Mama Elena in the bedroom. The culinary miracles that unfolded in the kitchen as she prepared her meals and the wonderful effects on the partakers give credence to the power of magical realism in the homes and heart of the Mexican and Native American cultures. The sexual powers unleashed in this novel through food impact on the bodies, minds and spirits of all the characters. For the wedding scene, the wedding guests are magically ignited by passion as they consume Titaââ¬â¢s quail in rose petal sauce. As an aphrodisiac represented in Titaââ¬â¢s own suppressed sexual desire for Pedro, a supernatural transfer of passions occurs. Mama Elena, her tyrannical mother is also portrayed a witch whose dictatorial enchantment, controls her entire life. The magical blanket that Tita knits also comforts her in her time of bereavement and solitude, suddenly catching fire at the conclusion of the novel. Religion also plays a great role in One Hundred Years of Solitude. Garcia Marquez uses many Biblical texts and stories from Genesis and uses it as the chassis on which to base the story. The Adam and Eve personas who began the Macondo civilization-Colonel Aureliano and his wife, the queer gypsy people and the alien Whites penetrate the perfect kingdom and debase it from a spiritual settlement to a material world. The churchââ¬â¢s influence in magical realism is evidenced by the levitation of a Roman Catholic priest, Remediosââ¬â¢ mysterious ascension to heaven (an imitation of the levitating priest) and village-wide insomnia plagues. The Native American religion is based on ancestral worship of the dead. It is known among Native American tribesmen that tribute and offerings must be paid to the dead whose life continues even after death and blesses or curses the nation. Medicine men and witch doctors are the priests of this ancient religion that endorses spirit worship. In Monke y Beach, Ma-Ma-Oo is educated in the religion of her people and provides much needed guidance for Lisa who struggles with her superhuman ability. In the novel, the spiritsââ¬â¢ request for offerings in exchange for a favor blends in with the traditions of spirit worship within Native American religion and magical realism. Extraterrestrial or immaterial beings fill the pages of The House of the Spirits and One Hundred Years of Solitude making the novel a habitation of magical realism. After Claraââ¬â¢s and Ferulaââ¬â¢s deaths, they reappear to give encouragement to their friends and loved ones. In a moment of oppressing grief and bitterness, Estebanââ¬â¢s eyes are open to see the ghost of his dead wife. Also the dead Clara appears before Alba while the latter suffers torture in prison. Also, in Estebanââ¬â¢s last moments, Claraââ¬â¢s ghost stands at his side giving him morale support. In One Hundred Years of Solitude, apparent humans work miracles such as the White people that alter the weather cycle, agriculture times and the courses of the rivers. Melquiades, the gypsy, is said to be a lonely man resurrected from the dead. He stops the sleepless plague that afflicts the township. In another scene, the murdered Prudencio Aguilar reappears to torment the wife of his killer, Jose Arcadio Buendia. In sum, the awe of magical realism is universal in that it attraction both child and adult. Fairies, mermaids, gypsies, angels, demons, good spirits and evil spirits all occupy a world separate from the natural sphere. Magical realism presents a ââ¬Å"vision of everyday realityâ⬠(Slemon) and gives the reader a backstage illustration of the forces influencing weather, the physical, people and destiny. In The House of the Spirits, One Hundred Years of Solitude and Monkey Beach, magical realism forces one to question the credibility of events, where the ordinary and extraordinary, real and unreal are confused. Latin American and Native American writers and many other acclaimed authors publications carry allusions to magical realism in their narratives, demonstrating their embrace of the imaginary, the religious, the spiritual and the seeming impossible. Essay about The Hobbit by JRR Tolkein - 997 Words
THE HOBBIT BY J.R.R. TOLKIEN The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien is a story of adventure and danger, and it is a prime example of a romantic plot and fantasy genre. What makes this story such a great example of a romantic plot? One, the unlikely hero, Mr. Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit that is dragged on an adventure he doesnââ¬â¢t wish to take. Second, there is a great quest with a reward at its end. Third the great teacher figure, Gandalf is a wizard that helps Bilbo to become the great hero he is destined to be. And lastly the dragon figure, in this story the dragon figure, happened to be a dragon but there are also many miniature dragon figures through out the tale. The story begins with our soon to be hero Bilbo Baggins heââ¬â¢s smoking hisâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦He failed but you get a glimpse of the hero he is to become. The quest begins when the group meets at the Green Dragon Inn. From there they venture into the Lone-lands. As heavy rains begin to fall, Bilbo notices that Gandalf is missing. This is something that is later on considered to be normal because Gandalf comes and goes throughout the duration of the trip. All through the quest Bilbo ends up saving the party from many dangerous situations. This is something that at first Bilbo finds hard to believe because he has very low self-esteem. The group always seems to find themselves in worse, and worse problems, but they always overcome these problems, with the help of Bilbo and some times Gandalf. Some of these problems include: getting caught by trolls, getting captured by goblins, being attacked by large wolves called Wargs, one of the dwarves falls into a coma from touching black water in the Mirkwood Forest, nearly dying of starvation, being captured by large spiders and being captured by wood-elves. Although this is all very good action, the real action begins when the party finally reaches their destination- Lonely Mountain (home of Smaug). On Lonely Mountain, in order to sneak into Smaugââ¬â¢s lair, Bilbo puts on his magic ring, which turns him invisible. The Constitutionality Of Capital Punishment - 2105 Words
A major discussion and legal issue that has been the topic of major debates across the world is the legality of Capital Punishment. Capital Punishment, also known as the death penalty, is defined as ââ¬Å"the legally authorized killing of someone as a punishment for committing a crimeâ⬠(Oxford, n.d.). The issue has been undecided by the federal government, which gives the states the right to determine their own laws on the issue. Some states have outlawed the death penalty while others still use this practice to this day. In the state of Maryland the death penalty was used for hundreds of years before it was recently outlawed in a bill passed by the state legislature. The passing of the Capital Punishment Repeal in the state of Maryland was aâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦In the Eighth Amendment, there is a section called the Cruel and Unusual Punishment Clause. This states that the punishment for a crime canââ¬â¢t be inhumane and it must be fitting to the crime. For exampl e, you canââ¬â¢t put someone to death for stealing an apple. Because of this Amendment the death penalty is heavily debated as a fitting and humane way of dealing with capital crimes. Pro-Capital Punishment People who support Capital punishment in the State of Maryland were not happy about its repeal in 2013. Some delegates were not in favor of the repeal and voted against it. Some of them believed that we should not completely abolish the death penalty because there are extreme cases that could call for it. Delegate Smigiel said ââ¬Å"I have grave concerns about the state having the power of life and death over other people, but there are circumstances where that s the only penalty that s appropriate for a crimeâ⬠(Dresser, 2013). They believe that we should still keep it in place for extreme situations such as the Boston Marathon Massacre, and the killing of correctional officers. While the people who are advocates for the death penalty did not like the ruling, they had the opportunity to sign petitions in order to stop the passing of the repeal bill. But they did not reach the number of signatures needed to stop the bill. This shows that they did not have enough support to say that they did not
Marketing Principles Demographics Segmentation
Question: Discuss about theMarketing Principlesfor Demographics Segmentation. Answer: Analysis of Segmentation Variables In order to approach to the target customer appropriately, the management of Hamilton sunscreen group needs to use segmentation marketing strategy. There are five types of market segmentation variables such as demographics, psychographics, geographic, usage- rate and benefit segmentation (Kumar 2015). These five types of segmentation variables can be applied for this sunscreen product so that it can be offered to a huge range of Australian population. Demographics Segmentation The demographic segmentation is done by the business organizations based on the demography or the individual qualities of the inhabitants of a locality. Summer has been the prime season in Australia, therefore, the inhabitants also need to protect their skins from the harmful ultra-violate rays of the sun (Grnroos and Gummerus 2014). As this company offers various sunscreen lotions in accordance with the skin types, it can rightfully segment their consumers in different categories based on their skin types. Psychographics Segmentation Psychographics segmentation refers to the strategy to differentiate target customers as per their common interest and community activities. Hamilton sunscreen product can effectively approach to the Australian consumers with their assurance to soothe the sunburn skins (Moriarty et al. 2014). Geographic Segmentation Geographic marketing segmentation suggests to the geographic divisions. Hamilton sunscreen products have the potential to approach to almost every state of Australia. Usage-Rate Segmentation In order to do usage rate segmentation for Hamilton sunscreen products, the management needs to identify the heavy, light and non-users of their product so that they can make suitable promotional strategy for their heavy consumers (Kubacki et al. 2015). Benefit Segmentation Benefit segmentation is done by providing the consumers enough beneficial reasons to buy a product. As this sunscreen product sooths the sunburn skin along with moisturizing it, it can easily do this benefit segmentation among Australian consumers based on their skin type (Challagalla, Murtha and Jaworski 2014). Analysis of Targeting Strategy Among the four specific targeting strategies such as undifferentiated marketing, concentrated marketing, differentiated marketing and customized marketing, Hamilton Sunscreen Company can utilize differentiated marketing. This type of marketing strategy allows the organizations to develop suitable marketing mix for their multi-segmented consumers. In such cases, the organizations aim to approach all or some of their segmented market (Moriarty et al. 2014). In the case of Hamilton Sunscreen Company, it aims to approach to all their segmented consumers, so that they can increase their sales rate by increasing their popularity among Australian people (Pike, 2015). Therefore, they need to develop five different marketing mixes so that they can effectively approach to their five segmented consumers. In such case, separate brands also need to be developed for their each selected segmented market. This targeting strategy seems to enable this organization to increase their sales along with the profit rate, manufacturing costs of the products and also the helps to increase the market share (Challagalla, Murtha and Jaworski 2014). However, for this reason, this organization needs to increase their productivity; marketing costs and also needs to improve their innovative strategies for the product, promotional strategies and marketing research. As this strategy requires, a huge hike in the productivity, this organization needs to increase their production costs (Kumar 2015). Before using this targeting strategy, they also need to calculate their gross profit and loss amount if they use it for the marketing of their product. In this way, they can ensure a hike in their profit and sales rate by reducing the chances of any financial loss in near future. Analysis of Positional Bases From the viewpoint of Pike (2015), positioning of a product in the business market bases depends upon the certain factors such as price and quality of the product, attribute, product user, application, class of the product and competitor. In order to hold a prominent market position, Hamilton Sunscreen Company needs to maintain the quality of their product along with controlling the price. In this way, they can acquire maximum consumers (Moriarty et al. 2014). This factor will automatically come under the attribute. Figure 1: Positioning bases (Source: Challagalla, Murtha and Jaworski 2014) This organization needs to ensure that their product has a smooth application procedure by evaluating the feedbacks of their consumers. On the other hand, by evaluating the user rate of their product, this organization can identify the class of their product in the cosmetic market of Australia (Challagalla, Murtha and Jaworski 2014). In order to understand the user rate, this organization needs to conduct a market survey with which they can successfully identify their market positioning. This understanding will help them to determine their required marketing strategy with which they can earn more profit rate (Kumar 2015). On the contrary, by benchmarking the sales arte of their competitors, Hamilton Sunscreen Company can understand their current market position. For example, it faces tough competition from LaRoche-Posay which offers SPF 60 with oil-free and dry touch sunscreen feature. Therefore, if this organization improves their product by following the special attributes of other organizations, it will be able to approach the consumers in a better way (Kubacki et al. 2015).
